I’m not a professional body builder or a trainer, but I’ve been working out for 4 years, and I’ve picked up few tips that should help you get the most of your workouts!
Limit your caffeine intake to one serving before your workout:
One of the most effective pre-workout drinks might surprise you. Caffeine helps you Accelerates fat loss , Increases performance, Improves focus and Decreases muscle pain. But when your body gets used to caffeine, it builds a tolerance against it, and you stop benefiting from it, that’s why you should limit your caffeine intake to one serving per training day and take it around 30-20 min before your workout. You can drink coffee, take coffee pills or even get preworkout supplements rich in caffeine!
You should listen to music while working out
Music helps you stay focused and workout better. Simply because it has the ability to make you happy and determined.
People’s minds tend to wander, “and we know that a wandering mind is unhappy,” Dr. Sood said. “Most of that time, we are focusing on the imperfections of life.” Music can bring us back to the present moment. New York Times :The Power of Music, Tapped in a Cubicle
Turn off your mobile or keep it in the locker
When you’re working out, you have to keep your body warm and keep your self focused, anything that have the ability to distract you will affect your progress and degrade your performance. Personally I keep my phone in the locker and use my iPod instead!
Ask for assistant!
When you’re doing a new exercise or lifting a heavy weight, Don’t be shy to ask for assistance from the trainer or anyone training around you that can help you. A small tip will definitely get you closer to your goal!
